Who we are
Channel 3 Arcade (channel3arcade.com) is run by Wayfarers Digital LLC (“we”). This policy covers the website and the games on it.
What we collect
- Account details, if you sign in: your email address, and the leaderboard name you choose. If you sign in with Google, Google gives us your email address, name and profile picture.
- Your choices: whether you want announcement emails, and any tester code you redeem.
- What you do in the games, if you sign in: saved progress, scores, and the moves, answers and times behind a score, which we use to check it; badges you earn; and, in games that keep a game on our servers, the state of that game.
- Device and technical information: the IP address and browser information our providers receive when you visit. We use a one-way hash of your IP address to limit abuse of the games.
- How the games are played: anonymous gameplay events, such as a level started or finished, how long it took and whether a hint was used, and error reports when a game breaks. They aren’t linked to you, your account or your device. Some games also keep statistics on a signed-in player’s runs under a coded identifier rather than your name or email; deleting your account deletes them.
- On your device: the site stores your favorites, recently played games, a tester code you enter, and your progress in the games in your browser’s storage. It stays on your device unless you sign in and a game saves to your account.
- Messages to us: your email address and what you write.
We collect this from you, from your browser, and from Google if you sign in with it. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not collect your precise location or your contacts.
How we use it
- To run the site and the games, save your progress, and keep your account signed in.
- To check scores and show leaderboards.
- To unlock Unlimited when you redeem a code.
- To send sign-in emails and messages about your account, and announcements if you choose to receive them.
- To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
- To understand how the games are played, and improve them.
- To fix problems, and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not use your information for advertising.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal information, and have not done so in the past twelve months. We disclose it only:
- On the leaderboards: your leaderboard name and your scores are public. Your email address never is.
- To service providers that process it for us, under our instructions and for no purpose of their own: Supabase (hosting, database and sign-in), Netlify (website hosting), and Google (sign-in with Google, and sending our emails).
- When the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.
- In a merger or sale of our business, under this policy.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information, progress and scores while your account exists, and delete them when you delete your account. Abuse-prevention records keyed by a hash of an IP address are deleted within a day. Games played without an account hold no personal information and are deleted after 30 days. Anonymous gameplay events are kept for a year, and error reports for 30 days. Information that providers receive when you visit is kept for a limited time under their own practices.
Your choices and rights
Change your leaderboard name, turn announcement emails on or off, or delete your account at any time on your account page. Deleting your account deletes your profile, progress, scores and unlocks. Every announcement email also lets you unsubscribe.
Depending on where you live, including California, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to delete it. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. To make a request, email privacy@wayfarersdigital.com from the address on your account. We may ask you to confirm it, and we respond within 45 days. Someone you authorize in writing can make a request for you. If we decline a request, you can appeal by replying to our answer.
Children
Channel 3 Arcade is not directed to children under 13, and you must be 13 or older to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We protect your information with safeguards including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure.
Where it is processed
Channel 3 Arcade is for people in the United States. We and our providers process information in the United States.
Changes
We post any change here with a new date. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
